The CDC has now classified the outbreak as level 3, activating the emergency operations center to monitor and assist with containment. 5 U.S. states are now monitoring passengers who have returned home after being exposed on the ship, but a concerning report is coming out of the south Atlantic. A British national who lives at one of the cruise ship stops has now fallen ill, with suspected Hantavirus, and never boarded the ship.
