About this episode

Darryl Strawberry discusses his journey from addiction to mentorship while sharing insights on baseball and personal struggles.

Fat Joe and Jadakiss are joined by four-time World Series champion and baseball icon Darryl Strawberry to discuss his new book, ‘ Another Life ,’ and his powerful transformation from a superstar battling addiction to a mentor helping inmates in maximum-security prisons. The New York legend breaks down his transition from South Central L.A.'s Crenshaw High to the bright lights of NYC and shares unforgettable behind-the-scenes stories about the swagger-filled 1986 Mets championship team with Doc Gooden and Keith Hernandez, contrasting it with the quiet, exemplary leadership of Derek Jeter during his time on the Yankees. Also, the trio dives into raw conversations about surviving childhood abuse, Strawberry's refusal to judge players from baseball's steroid era, and Fat Joe opens up about a recent surgery that completely changed his perspective on the terrifying grip of fentanyl and addiction.
