About this episode

Candice DeLong explores the case of David and Catherine Birnie, who committed a series of murders in Perth in 1986.

Retired FBI agent and criminal profiler Candice DeLong explores the disturbing case of David and Catherine Birnie, the Australian couple who terrorized Perth over five weeks in 1986, abducting, raping, and murdering five women before a survivor's extraordinary courage brought them down. Candice examines how David's history of violent sexual sadism and Catherine's lifelong terror of being left behind made them not just compatible, but catastrophic -- a partnership that turned shared damage into a killing spree that shook Australia to its core.
