About this episode
The episode discusses the collaborative peace efforts of Palestinian and Israeli women through grassroots movements.
Women of the Sun and Women Wage Peace are Palestinian/Israeli sister movements working together to create peace in which women are involved, valued, and supported. Today I am joined by Marwa Hammad of Women of the Sun, a grassroots Palestinian movement founded in 2021, and Yael Braudo-Bahat, the co-director of Women Wage Peace, the largest grassroots organization in Israel, founded in 2014. We talk about their gender based peace work, the world famous Mother's Call, the importance of education and empathy, and how women are central to peace in the future.
