Ed Rush discusses his illustrious career as an NBA referee and his current work in coaching and officiating mentorship.
Ed Rush was simply one of the greatest referees in NBA history. The Springfield High School and West Chester University alum spent decades in the league, starting in 1966, and also spent time officiating in the Eastern League and the ABA. After retiring as a game official, Rush spent several years serving as the NBA Director of Officiating. These days, he spends time as an assistant football coach at West Chester and working with the basketball officiating mentorship and support program he founded, Court Club Elite. In Episode #295 of "1-on-1 with Matt Leon," Matt welcomes Rush in studio to talk about his incredible career. They look back at how he got started as an official, discuss some of his favorite memories from his NBA days, talk about the work he is doing now and much, much more.
