LADYCRIME IRL: Keltie's friend is almost murdered!
About this episode
The episode discusses a real-life case involving a socialite's near-fatal poisoning and the suspicious actions of her second husband.
Jac brings in true-crime queen Alexis Linkletter — co-host of The First Degree, host of Crimes of Reddit, and author of the upcoming Between the Devil and the Tide — to help unpack a wild, real-life case Keltie has been sitting on. It starts with Tammy, a caftan-clad Bel Air socialite who survived a slow rat-poisoning at the hands of her first husband, and spirals into her second act with a much younger "security guard" named Craig who isolated her from friends, convinced her to sell off her fortune, secretly married her months before she died, and inherited everything. Is Craig a calculated con man or just wildly opportunistic? The girls dig into the red flags, the mysterious ex who called him "dangerous," and how you'd even pull off a poisoning, before Alexis coaches Keltie on how to actually investigate — and turn this into a proper follow-up.
