THE STORY OF JOSEPH - lesson 1 GOD'S PARADIGM OF SALVATION OF THE WORLD We have come to Genesis 39 which is the beginning of the story of Joseph of the "many colored coat." Joseph (Yosef in Hebrew or Yosef Ben Ya'akov - Joseph the son of Jacob) was the prized and most beloved son of Jacob. This love seemingly created a deep jealously between Joseph and his brothers that led to them nearly killing him and finally selling Joseph into slavery. But, that's part of this awesome Bible study journey we are now to embark on. A paradigm can also be described as a pattern, a template. We might even say it relates to a the idea of a mirror image. An example is in the first Passover where we hear of the Passover Lamb picked by each father for his family to be sacrificed the night God will send death upon all first born in Egypt.
