CROSSOVER: Canadiens vs Sabres Playoff Faceoff—Will Cole Caufield DELIVER? Will Sabres' PP Wake Up?
About this episode
The episode previews the second-round playoff matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres, focusing on key players and strategies.
Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres set the stage for one of the NHL’s most anticipated second-round matchups—will elite goaltending or high-powered offense prevail? Ian Boisvert and Joe DiBiase preview the series, spotlighting Jakob Dobes' breakout for Montreal and the Sabres’ dynamic three-line attack led by Tage Thompson. With both teams boasting surging young stars like Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Zach Benson, the intensity between rival fanbases could ignite in the stands as much as on the ice. Key questions center on which top line will break through tight matchups, how special teams—especially Buffalo’s faltering power play versus Montreal’s red-hot unit—could tip the balance, and if either squad’s rookie netminders will hold up under playoff pressure. Don’t miss the hosts’ predictions on what it will take for each franchise to punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Final.
