Montreal Canadiens fall in OT—Josh Anderson and Jakub Dobeš IMPRESS but Habs need to make a change
About this episode
The episode discusses the Montreal Canadiens' recent playoff performance, highlighting key player performances and strategic decisions ahead of Game 3.
Montreal Canadiens stunned Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 1 with a hard-fought road split, but late-game collapses and missed opportunities spark concern after a Game 2 loss. Is Josh Anderson the playoff hero Montreal needs, or will momentum shift as the series returns to the Bell Centre? We break down standout performances from Jakub Dobes and Lane Hutson, analyze key mistakes by Kirby Dach and Juraj Slafkovsky, and debate whether the Canadiens’ top line can finally break through against Jon Cooper’s tight matchups. We spotlight the strong pairing of Jayden Struble and Arber Xhekaj, assess Martin St. Louis’ lineup decisions, and question if Montreal’s discipline and 5-on-5 play will hold up. With Brendan Gallagher and Joe Veleno waiting in the wings and home-ice advantage up for grabs, can the Canadiens seize control of the NHL Playoffs? Don’t miss this rapid-fire recap ahead of a pivotal Game 3.
