The Red Wings have a lot of things to figure out in a little over two months. They need to hire a GM and President. They need to trade Larkin. Edvinsson needs to be extended. They also need to find out if Todd McLellan should remain head coach. Ultimately the new GM will make that choice, but I believe there is an argument to keep him...for now.
