As they sat down to dinner, Jesus took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to them. It was in this familiar act that their eyes were opened, and they finally recognized Him. The moment they saw Him, He vanished from their sight, leaving them with hearts burning with the reality of who He was. Their response was immediate and powerful.
