This summer, we’re following the case live, as Laura Owens’ criminal charges finally come to a conclusion.  Laura Owens faces 14 felony indictments in Arizona, and the state's plea offer expires the day after this episode comes out. At her next hearing on Monday, June 29, 2026, it will hopefully become clear whether she has accepted the plea deal, or if her case will go to trial. Behind the scenes, Clayton Echard wrote a letter to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office asking them to reconsider the plea agreement.
