So many of us carry a constant undercurrent of nervous energy, an internal restlessness that can elevate heart rate, disrupt focus, and contribute to ongoing stress and anxiety. Meditation offers a powerful, natural way to release this excess energy while gently guiding the body back to a calmer, more balanced state. Nervous energy often builds up when the body remains in a prolonged “fight or flight” response. This is the nervous system’s way of preparing for danger, but when activated too frequently, it can lead to a persistently elevated heart rate, shallow breathing, and tension throughout the body. Over time, this state can feel overwhelming, making it difficult to relax or feel at ease. Meditation works by activating the body’s “rest and digest” response, also known as the parasympathetic nervous system.
