About this episode

Fred Davidson discusses IMPACT Silver's plans for mine restarts and the use of new technology to improve margins.

IMPACT Silver is weighing a restart of its Capire Mine with some help from new technology, says CEO Fred Davidson in an interview with Mining Stock Daily. The company is currently evaluating the use of XRT sensor-based sorting to improve margins at the VMS deposit by electronically separating ore from waste during bulk mining. While Capire remains on care and maintenance, the company maintains active production at the Zacualpan Mining Complex, supported by the recent discovery and extraction of the high-grade Kena vein. At the Plomosas Mine, management has suspended mining to optimize the underground design and is pursuing toll milling contracts with third-party miners to generate near-term cash flow.
