About this episode

The episode discusses the unsolved case of 10-year-old Cora Lee Hamby, who disappeared in 1989 and was later found deceased.

On May 25, 1989, 10-year-old Cora Lee Hamby left her home in Statesville and walked to a nearby grocery store to buy candy. She never made it home, and her deceased body was discovered a few days later on the shores of Lake Norman. Eyewitnesses said they saw Cora get into a car with three adults in the parking lot of the grocery store. Investigators zeroed in on a suspect in town, but he was never officially charged with the murder. Her case has never officially been solved.
