What helps kids become confident, capable adults who thrive? According to today’s guest, Dr. Randolph Schiffer, it’s facing their fears in childhood, and he’s just released a book to help them do that. “Bedtime Stories That Will Terrify Children” was born out of Dr. Schiffer’s efforts to help his son face his leukemia journey as a child. Stories are a great way to help kids understand their fears and develop courage, says Dr. Schiffer. He believes many parents today try to shield their children from fear, anxiety and other negative emotions and that’s doing their kids a disservice.
