About this episode

This episode explores Maddie's return to work and her complex relationship with David amidst dream sequences and personal revelations.

SYNOPSIS: This episode begins with several dream sequences that include guest star Pat Boone as the future David. After these dreams (and nightmares), Maddie wakes up and she is on the train traveling back to Los Angeles. She is still unsure whether or not she and David should resume their relationship. Maddie then meets a man on the train named Walter Bishop, and they tell each other about their lives, even though Maddie does blur the truth a little. You finally see Maddie walking down the hallway to Blue Moon. She’s apprehensive, not knowing what sort of welcome awaits her there. As soon as they see Maddie, the employees roll out the red carpet; they’re so excited to see her back at work. David is so happy that she has finally returned but they get into an argument when she says she needs more time. David has had it with waiting; he has been waiting for four and half months. They both apologize and say that they have missed each other. David thinks things are now going well until Maddie drops the biggest bombshell ever to be imposed on Moonlighting fans.
