From Conflict to Covenant

Conflict is an unavoidable part of life, but it does not have to be the final chapter. In Genesis 26, Isaac experiences God's blessing, only to find himself surrounded by jealousy, opposition, and repeated disputes. The Philistines envied Isaac's prosperity, exchanged hostile words with him over the wells, and continually pressured him to move on. Yet Isaac chose faith over retaliation, perseverance over bitterness, and peace over revenge. In time, the very people who opposed him came seeking peace, and what began in conflict ended in covenant. Join us this Sunday as we discover how God’s faithful covenantal promises cannot be thwarted and how we are to pursue peace in the midst of conflict.
