Lindsey Campbell interviews Phil Moniz about his film RACEWALKERS and its themes of competition and coaching.
Lindsey Campbell interview Phil Moniz (co-director/co-writer/executive producer) about his film RACEWALKERS. It's screening across Canada in theatres during July. RACEWALKERS... Will Lester (Phil Moniz) could never compete in the sport he’s always loved: racewalking. While struggling to find respect as a coach, Will’s fortunes change when he spots a burnout pitcher with the most impeccable racewalking stride he’s ever seen. Together, Will and Matt (Kevin Claydon) team up, face the challenges of a sport that doesn’t want them, and to try to take down the best walker in the country. Phil's journey in filmmaking began with a deep dive into the world of cinema at the University of Toronto. His degree in History/ Cinema Studies ignited a lifelong passion for the power of storytelling through moving images. INSTAGRAM: @racewalkersmovie @philmoniz WEBSITE: https://www.racewalkers.com/
