Dubbed “one of the few cool white women in the entire industry,” comedian and writer Emmy Blotnick joins Devon this week to spotlight lyrics from the hit-maker Max Martin, reveal her go-to karaoke songs, and finally bless the show with a discussion of Mary J. Blige’s “Family Affair.” Emmy Blotnick is a New York-based comedian who has appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Conan. As a well-accomplished writer, she has worked on shows such as FX’s English Teacher, Mel Brooks’ History Of The World and The Roast of Kevin Hart at this year’s Netflix Is A Joke Fest. She’s worked with comics such as Nick Kroll, Dave Attell, Gary Gulman, Sarah Silverman, Mike Birbiglia, Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler. Her new special, What’s Her Secret?, is available now only on 800 Pound Gorilla’s new streaming service, Gorilla Comedy+, as well as on YouTube.
