Miriam Horn is an author, environmental advocate, journalist and filmmaker. Her background includes work for the Environmental Defense Fund and the U.S. Forest Service in Colorado, working on habitat conservation, landowner and community partnerships, and public education. Her latest book Homesick for a World Unknown is the first full biography of wildlife biologist, conservationist and author George B. Schaller.
