About this episode
The episode discusses Paul's examination of God's word in relation to the salvation of Gentiles and the preservation of a remnant of Jews.
We continue our journey through the book of Romans. Paul is still dealing with the question: Has God's word failed? Paul is dealing with the unbelief of the Jews and whether God's word can be trusted. In the passage Paul examines • Gentiles' salvation: Paul cites Hosea to see that this has always been the case (to turn non Israelites into Israelites) V24-26 • Preservation of the Jews: Paul quotes Isiah - Israel's hope depends on God by preserving a remnant of them by his grace/. God was always going to make people who aren't "his people" his people. v27-29 • Abraham's decendents are actually hose who have faith. By receiving Jesus as messiah, gentiles were made righteous. Paul uses God's word to prove that God's word hasn't failed. Join our family morning service every Sunday at 11am. New Life Haydock Phythian Street Haydock WA11 0AH
