Looking at Matthew 21:28–31, the parable of the two sons, Pastor Luke challenges us to examine the gap between good intentions and real obedience. It is easy to say yes to God, to church, to ministry, or to others — but what happens when that yes becomes inconvenient, costly, or uncomfortable? This sermon also unpacks Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5:33–37: “Let your yes be yes and your no be no.” Through Psalm 15, we are reminded that a person who walks closely with God is someone who keeps their word, even when it hurts. A powerful message on Christian integrity, obedience to God, keeping your promises, spiritual commitment, faithfulness, discipleship, and following through on your yes.
