What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? Thankfully, Jesus Himself answers this question emphatically. Luke 9:23 tells us to: Deny. Die. Follow. To be a disciple of Christ is the choice to daily to renew our mind with God’s Word, crucify our flesh, and killing off our old self and our old ways. Following Christ means: I can not do what I want! I can not say what I want! I can not live how I want! All for Christ, to live is death, to die is gain Pride will tell you that you’re good, that you don’t have anything you need to let go of. Pride will be the death of many. Refuse to live in self absorbed comfort, accept the command of sacrifice, and watch the fullness of life God will bring to you!
