Northeastern United States – An eyewitness report describes a luminous object hovering above a pond that remained mostly stationary for around 45 minutes before disappearing in October 2024. The report states the object was seen below the horizon at an estimated distance of 2,700 feet at approximately 1851 local time. It appeared as a glowing plasma-like sphere that shifted in shape and brightness over time. At certain moments, the main light appeared to split into smaller luminous points. A separate light point was also observed beneath the primary source, positioned just above the water. It did not resemble a reflection on the surface of the pond. The object remained largely stationary for about 45 minutes before it disappeared. The eyewitness reported no sound coming from the phenomenon during the entire observation period. The footage was recorded by a private citizen using an iPhone and later examined and confirmed by a government review process. The video was cropped to protect the individual’s privacy, but otherwise no modifications, enhancements, or alterations were made.
