On an August night in 1968, the sky over Maine did something that still doesn't have a clear explanation. By morning, one camper was dead, several others had suffered burns, and more than 100 people woke up feeling the physical effects of whatever had passed through during the night. It wasn't the only time something like this had happened in Maine. Although these events are rare, this was far from a one-time occurrence.
