THE GREEN SCENE: Umeh and Moylan included but no room for Ozhianvuna or Elding | Immediate Ireland squad reaction
About this episode
The episode discusses the recent Republic of Ireland squad announcement, analyzing inclusions, omissions, and the team's direction.
Join Matthew Brennan, David Wilson and Ben Symes on this week’s episode of the Green Scene, your one-stop shop for all things Irish football. The trio kick things off by reacting to the official Republic of Ireland squad announcement, breaking down the biggest inclusions, omissions, and a few eyebrow-raising calls from the manager. The lads then dive into what this squad says about the direction of the team, with a closer look at the blend of youth and experience ahead of the upcoming fixtures. Ben, Matthew and David run through the players they’re most excited to see involved, as well as those who might feel unlucky to miss out, especially with opportunities opening up for fresh faces. Could this be a chance for some of the emerging talent to make their mark on the international stage? Or will the more established names use this window to reassert themselves in green? And with a few surprise selections in the mix, is this the beginning of a new chapter—or just a short-term experiment?
