Feddun interviews Matt Lane about his musical journey and experiences with various bands.
Feddun interviews Matt Lane (first drummer for Drive-By Truckers; The Possibilities; The Lanes; Sloan Brothers) In the interview, Lane recalls early influences (“Sailing” by Christopher Cross), buying Quiet Riot, growing up in Bainbridge, moving to Athens in 1994, and playing Nowhere Bar, Friar Tuck’s, and Atomic Music Hall. He describes The Possibilities’ DIY cassettes (Loser Stew) and recording Way Out with Jay Gonzalez and Chris Gray, plus Drive-By Truckers origins with Patterson Hood, Mike Cooley, John Neff, and Adam Howell. Lane details recording Gangstabilly at Dave Barbe’s Chase Park, touring realities, working jobs (pizza delivery, liquor store), a stint back in Bainbridge, returning in 2010, and making The Lanes record toward Heathens Homecoming. https://thelanesathensga.bandcamp.com/album/the-lanes https://www.facebook.com/p/The-Lanes-100070827577161/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APYrplTkL38 https://open.spotify.com/album/0TkHy7q7DexRD7OaI7R8V9 https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kbrvHUH9tP7XjWp5DMNVBFvyrAXIJjcdc https://www.eventbee.com/v/tally-wheel-comedy-presents-sean-lubin-and-feddun/event?eid=287221195…
