About this episode

Landon Lacy discusses the evidence of revival in the context of 1 Thessalonians 1, emphasizing the importance of faith, love, and hope in a community.

In this talk, Landon Lacy walks us through 1 Thessalonians 1 and asks a simple but searching question: how do you actually know when the gospel has taken root in a heart or a church? Not by feelings alone, not by hymns or exegesis alone, but by fruit — a faith that changes your behavior, a love that costs you something, and a hope stable enough to hold joy in the middle of hardship. Along the way, we see what it looks like when a whole community’s faith goes to work, and how a church’s reputation for love can open a city’s ears to the Gospel long before a single word is preached.
