Agent Hull’s testimony in the Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing gave us a much better look at how prosecutors are trying to move this case forward. The judge is not deciding guilt at this stage, instead he’s trying to determine if there is reasonable cause to bind Tyler Robinson over for trial in the shooting death of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Pay attention to the way investigators place Robinson on the UVU campus multiple times on the morning of the shooting, first in shorts and a red shirt, later with a blue backpack, and then later again in different clothing while walking with what Agent Hull described as “a gait or a limp.” Prosecutors used the video evidence to track the person they identify as Robinson moving toward the rooftop where he allegedly laid prone at the corner of the roof before the shot was fired. Then, he ran with something in his hands to the corner of the rooftop where he scaled down the building and ran into a nearby wooded area.
