Moses warns Israel of two dangers that could lead them away from God: the external influence of surrounding cultures, and the internal temptation of pride. While God promises victory and blessing, His people must remain wholly devoted to Him by remembering that every blessing comes from His faithfulness rather than their own strength. Ultimately, the antidote to both worldliness and pride is to continually remember God's past faithfulness and live in humble dependence on Him.
