In 1855, a nervous Sunday school teacher named Edward Kimball walked into a shoe store and put his hand on a teenager's shoulder. Nobody remembers Kimball's name — but that teenager was Dwight L. Moody, who went on to preach to over 100 million people. In this message, Pastor Bill walks through 1 Timothy 3:8–16 and the role of deacons — people with no seat at the leadership table and no title next to their name, who are just as qualified, just as tested, and just as necessary as elders. Some carry the title. But all of us carry His name. Stop waiting for permission to make a difference.
