We can sometimes read about these conflicts in antiquity in the abstract, but they have application for us. Paul gives the Ephesians instructions on how to live. He specifically refers to living according to the standard God has communicated. Paul explains that we do this only as we focus on who God is. God’s character, including His grace, equips us for the lives we are to live. God’s Character When we struggle to apply biblical truth to our lives, Paul’s instructions to the Ephesians provide the link for us. Simply put, speaking the truth in love and living a life of forgiveness are keys, according to Ephesians 4.
