We love to read the Bible stories where someone who trusted in God was delivered. Daniel was protected from lions. Esther was saved from the king. David was spared multiple times. But what about the people who weren’t delivered? Today, Pastor John points out that in some cases, God saved His faithful followers from death. But in other cases, He allowed them to suffer, even unto death. Neither was the result of greater or lesser holiness. But there’s one thing you can always be sure of: God is in control.
