About this episode

Richard Syrett interviews former law enforcement official Larry Lawson about his investigations into the occult and paranormal.

What happens when a career lawman starts investigating crimes involving occult rituals, and then turns his detective skills toward the paranormal? Richard Syrett sits down with former law-enforcement official Larry Lawson to explore haunted crime scenes, apparitions, unexplained evidence and a chilling possibility: What if some “ghosts” aren’t dead people at all? GUEST: Lawrence “Larry” Lawson spent more than four decades in law enforcement and criminal justice as an investigator, instructor and police academy director, including work involving cult and occult-related crime. His fascination with the paranormal began in 1980, after witnessing a full-bodied apparition inside Miami’s Dade County Jail. Today, Lawson is founder of the Florida Bureau of Paranormal Investigation and author of Haunted Indian River County, bringing a veteran investigator’s eye to ghosts, unexplained phenomena and the possibility that something far stranger may be operating around us.
