When the tiny, bespectacled mouse arrives, Buby is transformed and whisked through darkened streets — past the lurking cat Gaiferos — to deliver a gold coin to a poor boy named Gilito. Seeing Gilito's freezing attic room for the first time leaves Buby shaken, forcing him to confront a world of poverty his royal life had hidden from him entirely.
