Adam Rodriguez is doing something incredible. The 29-year-old is currently ticking off the final weeks of an epic challenge which will see him run 55 marathons in 55 different cities in a single year - that's a marathon in every city in the UK. Along the way, he is raising money for the MOVE Against Cancer charity, the organisation behind the popular and vitally important 5k Your Way initiative. Adam's story started a few years ago when his mum, Sharon, was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma. Sharon has thankfully recovered fully, but Adam has not forgotten the relentless strength she demonstrated to take on cancer or the deep effect the disease had on his family. Last year, he decided to give something back. An occasional runner, he opted to combine a basic aptitude for the sport with the desire to travel - and a challenge that would keep him moving every week of the year. Of course, 55 marathons means he'll be doubling up on a few weekends, including the final piece of his adventure at the end of June, when he'll complete the challenge by running marathons in Sheffield and Salisbury on consecutive days.
