In this episode, Fred shares two unsettling accounts of suspected “hairy man” encounters from the remote Alaskan wilderness. The first involves Don and Tina, a couple hired to operate a gold mine along the Koyukuk River. During a stretch of heavy rain, large rocks began slamming into their loud mining equipment from somewhere beyond the tree line. Don briefly chased a dark figure into the woods, while Tina later witnessed an enormous humanoid silhouette moving nearby. The situation escalated the following morning when the figure appeared dangerously close to their camp. Tina fired a shotgun into the air, and the couple retreated to their cabin before seeking help from a neighboring miner. He revealed that he had experienced similar harassment in the area. Despite the mine producing good gold, Don and Tina decided the money was not worth the risk and quit. Fortunately, the owner treated them fairly and paid them for their work.
