About this episode
Hahona Ormsby discusses his experience with an international aid flotilla to Gaza that was intercepted by Israeli forces.
An international aid flotilla to Gaza - containing about 60 boats - left Barcelona a couple of weeks ago carrying supplies for the Gazan people. But on Thursday they were intercepted by Israeli forces west of the Greek island of Crete - still about 700 nautical miles from Gaza. Four New Zealanders were detained by the IDF but another, Hahona Ormsby of Ngati Maniapoto, managed to escape capture along with his crew.
