Kevin Weatherby discusses the simplicity of Jesus' invitation and the excuses people make for not accepting it.

Jesus says, "Come to me." And we say, "But I can't..." Jesus' whole invitation is three words, no qualifications, no fine print. So why do we keep making it hard? Week 2 of Come to Me rides through the parable of the Great Big BBQ in Luke 14, where every empty chair at the supper had a good-sounding excuse behind it: I bought some land, I bought five teams of oxen, I just got married. Kevin picks up the jet-ski cliffhanger from last week and lays out the excuses we still send back to God today.
