Catriona has been writing in the world of horror fiction for the past decade, becoming the first woman to be a 3-time winner of the August Derleth Award for Best Horror Novel, at the British Fantasy Awards. She also won the Shirley Jackson Award for best novel in 2018, along with a ton of other awards and nominations, including The Times BreakthroughAward for Literature at the 2022 Sky Arts Awards. Stephen King called her 2022 Novel Sundial ‘authentically terrifying’ and her 2021 novel The Last House on Needless Street was named by Esquire Magazine as one of the top 25 best horror novels of all time.
