Paul discusses our identity outside of Christ and how to live in grace according to the Gospel.

Paul again tells us who we were outside of Christ to remind us just how much grace God has shown us. Then he tells us how to walk in that grace in Christ; emphasizing that our new life is according to the Gospel we heard, not by our own efforts.
