On the 79th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & special guest, Brad Rusthoven from the Slamfest Podcast, review the 1988 album "GN'R Lies" by Guns N' Roses. In the late 1980's Guns N' Roses exploded on the hard rock scene. Their debut album, "Appetite For Destruction" would go on to become the biggest selling debut album of all time. GNR was led by one of a kind lead singer Axl Rose. Guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin formed an incredible dual guitar attack. Duff McKagan on bass and Steven Adler were a monster rhythm section. Previous to their debut album the band released a "live" EP called Live Like A Suicide which consisted of four songs, two of which were covers. They decided to add 4 acoustic songs to side two and call the album "GN'R Lies." The album made it to #2 on the US Billboard charts and eventually went 5 times platinum. It was produced by Guns N' Roses and Mike Clink. GN'R Lies continued GNR's unpredictable streak and made the fans clamor for more.
