About this episode

Sophie Cunningham discusses the Indiana Fever's struggles and the NBA playoffs with West Wilson, touching on various sports-related topics and personal anecdotes.

This week on Show Me Something, Sophie Cunningham and West Wilson are back for Episode 40 — and there’s a LOT happening. The crew celebrates the podcast’s major award nomination before diving headfirst into WNBA chaos, with Sophie giving a brutally honest update on the Indiana Fever’s early season growing pains, why she thinks this team can become elite with a roster that features Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, and Lexie Hull, plus the hilarious story behind her accidental shot-block celebration. West and Sophie break down the wild Victor Wembanyama NBA playoff takeover in Game 1 of the series between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder, why pro athletes supporting other leagues is actually the coolest thing ever, and what really makes home court such a weapon. Then it gets delightfully unhinged: fake celebrity scam accounts stealing fans’ money, MLB players getting told to stop their very questionable celebration, a shocking baseball animal cruelty scandal, Bumble handing your love life over to AI, and the bizarre superstitions athletes swear by when they’re in a slump and Sophie’s emotional attachment to old makeup brushes…
