THE SUMMER OF WEMBY:Fresh off a Finals appearance, Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama is the center of the NBA world in many ways. Tom Petrini, Aaron Blackerby, and Zach Montana break down everything important in an eventful offseason for Vic and for San Antonio.Wemby left over $50 million on the table in a huge contract extension that prioritizes winning over money and sets a meaningful precedent for the Spurs and for the NBA. How does it impact Steph Castle, Dylan Harper, De'Aaron Fox, and the rest of the roster? What does it mean for the league, the players' association, and the collective bargaining agreement? How will it shape Wemby's legacy?Wembanyama also became the first Spur on the cover of 2K27, and it seems he insisted on making it the first 2K cover ever to feature the star's teammates. And once again it's a summer full of whimsical side quests for Wemby, from pickup soccer to training with De'Aaron Fox and their new teammate Tobias Harris, and his old friend Hakeem Olajuwon.Plus, a wrap on what we saw at Summer League from Carter Bryant, Tarris Reed Jr., Ja'Kobi Gillespie, Maliq Brown, Hyunjung Lee, and coach Corliss Williamson.
