Named “Entertainment Lawyer of the Year” by Billboard, John Mason is a Los Angeles native who graduated with honors from UCLA and earned his J.D. from UC Berkeley, where he served as Managing Editor of the California Law Review. He began his career at a top Beverly Hills entertainment law firm, launched his own firm in 1978, and later established himself in Nashville, where he continues to counsel elite talent across music, film, television, literature, andnew media. A Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Mediator, Mason has chaired the Nevada Film Commission, hosted a nationally televised satellite talk show and a regular segment on the CW affiliate in Reno, and served eight years on the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.
