ALERT: Auburn Can’t Hold Byrum Brown Back | Auburn Football Podcast
About this episode
The episode discusses Auburn's victory over Baylor and the need to allow quarterback Byrum Brown to play to his strengths.
Auburn football got the win over Baylor, but there is one adjustment that could completely change what this offense looks like moving forward: let Byrum Brown be Byrum Brown. There were moments against Baylor where Brown appeared to be fighting his natural instincts. Auburn clearly wanted him to operate from the pocket, work through the passing game and avoid taking unnecessary hits. There is logic behind that approach, especially this early in the season. But there also comes a point where Auburn has to unleash what makes Brown dangerous. When Auburn absolutely needed a touchdown late, that is exactly what happened. Learn more about your ad choices.
