And even when we know an account is AI, we still find ourselves comparing our looks and lives to the fake ones, and feeling shitty in the process. We know that “83 year old model” is fake, but she’s still #goals. Unfortunately, we still live in a society that conflates our worth with our looks, and the goal posts just keep moving father back as editing and fake content just keeps flooding our feeds. As much as we wish we could opt out of the beauty rat-race entirely, we find ourselves stuck in it time and time again. But hey, we’re at least trying to own it.
