THey were one of many departments that responded to the fire at the former Montgomery’s Steakhouse in Spiceland this week. A landmark site with memories for almost all of the hosts, multiple departments turned out to attempt to save the building. As of recording, the cause and fate of the building are unknown. It has most recently been used as an event venue.Indianapolis is on the verge of adding a wheel tax that will raise between 50 and 80 million dollars a year in additional revenue to help plug their 1 billion dollar need for local road improvements. Mayor Joe Hogesett is expected to veto the plan. Will there be enough votes to overturn the veto?
