From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The murder of Sister Margaret Ann Pahl took place on Holy Saturday , April 5, 1980. [1] She was found dead at Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio , where she worked, and had been strangled and stabbed. The Catholic priest Gerald Robinson, who worked at the same hospital, was questioned soon after the crime, but not charged until new evidence emerged in 2003. He was convicted on May 11, 2006, and died in prison in 2014 after several unsuccessful appeals.
